This copy of the Robber Bridegroom is in fair condition. The cover is worn on the edges and is also marked on the front and back, inside there is some cracking to the spine between the front pages and some tanning to the inside cover. The remainder of the pages are tight and neat with some minor foxing. There is the name of the previous owner inside the cover page, see photograph.

This book is part of a series of book of Grimms fairy tales, beautifully illustrated by the artist H J Owen. Colour + sepia illustrations.

It is a cautionary tale of the wickedness of a suitor who gets his just deserts, portrayed as rodents.

Oxfam Bookshop Bath

The Bath Oxfam Books and Music shop has been open since 2001. We stock a wide selection of books, vinyl, cds and dvds but always welcome donations to keep our shelves full and interesting. Following our shop refit in 2009 we have a modern, bright and spacious interior where customers are welcome to browse at their leisure. We do not specialise in any one area but often seem to do particularly well with History books and Vinyl. Thanks to the wonderful donations we receive on a daily basis through the door, and from our local Book Banks, we offer our customers a fantastic range of stock both in the shop and online.
