Heavy half bound leather over brown buckram boards.

The spine and corners are worn with the surface layer missing.

Spine has titling and horizontal lines in gilt, however it is very worn.

Tears on the hinge at the top and bottom of the spine, but the integrity of the hinges is still good.

No inscriptions.

Binding in very good order.

Top page ends are gilt.

Frontispiece still protected by original tissue.

Variable amounts of foxing, much of the main text is unaffected.

Despite the external appearance, internally this book is in remarkably good condition.
