The Student's Roman Empire: A History of the Roman Empire from its Foundation to the Death of Marcus Aurelius

£40.00 Out Of Stock

Product description

The Student's Roman Empire: A History of the Roman Empire from its Foundation to the Death of Marcus Aurelius (27 B.C. - 180 A.D.) is a very rich and informative narrative of the Roman Empire. This scholarly book was written for use in universities and schools at the time and so not for the casual reader, and has been written directly from the original sources. It contains many b&w illustrations and a fold-out colour map.
Apart from a split along the spine of the endpapers, the hardback is in very good condition for its age. There is some rubbing along the edges of the spine and corners of the dark cloth boards. Inside the pages have yellowed, and there is a bit of foxing to the title page, but they are clean and the binding is tight. The outside edges of the pages are coloured red but the top edges are darker from dust.
