Good condition for a second-hand book: light wear to covers and spine with slanted spine, staining due to light water damage to hardcovers, light bowing to rear cover along fore edge, light denting to rear and fore edges of front cover; fore edge of some pages uncut, bottom and fore edges of some pages rough-cut, cracking between pages 32 and 33, 48 and 49 and page 177 and facing plate, all pages remain intact; markings to front endpapers, presentation bookplate to front pastedown endpaper, light soiling to page edges, very light foxing/soiling to title pages and frontispiece, otherwise internally fine given age of book.
