This edition is adapted from the German by Mrs Arthur Bell, with an introduction by H D Traill, D.C.L. and 210 full-page and text illustrations from original drawings. A series of line drawings and paintings with notes and descriptive text showing many interesting and rare sights and landmarks in Venice. These drawings and paintings are in black and white print.

Condition: Cloth-covered boards show heavy signs of wear, in some parts through to the boards beneath. the hinge has a 20mm tear to the head of the spine; gilt embossed title to front cover and spine worn, foredges also in gilt. Also, some discoloration and marks to both front and back covers; FEP detached, hinge cracked but intact, pages tanned and heavily foxed for the first few pages then minor foxing throughout; all plates present, BFEP heavily tanned and heavily foxed.
