Vintage Dinner set from Thomas Hughes, Longport

£49.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

Pretty set from the Thomas Hughes factory. This will date after 1881 (when the Hughes factory moved to Longport) but given the mark on the base is probably mid 1930s onwards. This set has been well used, and although some pieces are in good condition there are some marks from wear, crackling consistent with age and stains in the glaze especially on the plates. Pattern 4385.

The set comprises 2 tea plates (one is very worn) about 21 cms across; 3 salad plates about 23 cms across (one has brown marks and another has a crack); 4 dinner plates about 25 cms across (one has a big crack); 2 lidded tureens about 27 cms (these have some wear consistent with age but are in nice condition);one platter about 37 cms long (this is in good condition and much less used; a large platter about 42 cms long (again much less wear but this has some brown staining largely in the middle).

This will be delivered by courier in at least 2 boxes, hence the delivery cost as identified.
