Watershed 89 The Future for Water Quality in Europe (Volumes 1 & 2)

£35.00

Product description

Two volumes containing the proceedings of the IAWPRC Conference held in Guildford, 17-20 April 1989.

Watershed 89 was a major initiative intended to address some of the most controversial problems of water quality in Europe.

The first volume of the proceedings contains the eight papers presented on the first day of the Conference, and two additional papers presented by speakers from the World Health Organisation and the European Community. The papers cover a wide range of water quality issues: pollutants such as pesticides, nitrates and organics; and the various problems in legislating against pollution and improving water quality.

The second volume of the proceedings will contain papers presented on the second day of the Conference in four parallel streams entitled: Environmental Impact (Ecology and Biology); Human Impact I (Chemistry and Toxicology); Human Impact II (Microbiology); and Processes to Limit Impact (Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology)

Both volumes are in good condition, both have shelf wear and the edges have rubbed. Both volumes have slight foxing, the inside pages of both are in very good condition

Volume I: 118 pages
Volume II: 521 pages
