Product description

This is the seventh book in Arthur Ransome's Swallows and Amazons series of children's books.
In this book the Swallows (Walker family) are the only recurring characters. They are staying in a new location, Pin Mill on the River Orwell, upstream from the ports of Felixstowe and Harwich. The book follows the adventures of the Walker children on board a small cutter, the Goblin.
The book has green cloth covers and the title is impressed into the top of the front cover. The title, author and publisher's mark are in gilt on the spine. The covers show a few handling marks . The spine is bumped and shows wear at the bottom. The top, fore and bottom edges show some foxing and tanning. A couple of the end papers also show foxing. The inside front and rear covers have a coloured map of the North Sea between East Anglia and Holland and charts the voyage of the Goblin. The book has black and white illustrations throughout.
First published in 1937, this is the seventh impression published in November 1939 by Jonathan Cape.
