Sheila Van Damm
Robert Hale, London, 1967.

Hardback; 150 x 220 mm; red boards with titles in gold on spine; 191 pages; illustrated. Original unclipped dust jacket.

The book itself is in very good condition though the dust jacket is poor with open and closed tears, wear and marking. The binding is sound. Previous owner inscription on the recto of the front free endpaper.
The Windmill Theatre in Great Windmill Street, London was for many years both a variety and revue theatre. The Windmill remains best known for its nude tableaux vivants, which began in 1932 and lasted until its reversion to a cinema in 1964. Many prominent British comedians of the post-war years started their careers working at this theatre.
