Wilful Cousin Kate (1905

£8.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

A novel for girls, containing eight black-and-white illustrated plates by W Rainey.

This book is in fair condition. The edges of the hardback cover are worn, as you might expect from a book of this age. The illustration printed onto the front cover has numerous scratches, revealing the blue cover underneath. The spine is heavily discoloured, with a few small tears (up to 10 mm) on the top and bottom. The edges of the book block are brown, but the pages themselves are generally clean. Some pages have dirty marks and others have very light foxing. The binding is not tight, but all pages are secure.

A bookplate on the front end-paper explains that the book was a gift for punctuality and progress from a St Mark's Girls' School, dated Christmas 1905. Embossed writing on the end paper states that the book was bound and sold by Jarrold & Sons Ltd of Norwich.
