Internally, the book is in generally good, bright condition commensurate with age with a little foxing here and there and age-related tanning to pages but no tears, creases or significant marks. Binding has weakened in one or two places but overall is firm. A most attractive copy of this very readable and thrilling tale of the English civil war with lovely colour frontispiece and many charming b&w line drawings (some full page) throughout.
