All volumes: Blue cloth covered boards with gilt text and illustration to front and spine and blind embossed design to front. Various scuffs, marks, signs of wear and discolouration. Spines discoloured, with shelf wear to top and bottom edges. Foxing to endpapers and first and last few leaves. Several volumes have loose leaves and/or signatures. Split at hinge of volumes II and III, revealing linen binding beneath. Pale stain on front of volume IV.
