A detailed history of Catholicism in this area of West Yorkshire and Lancashire, undated but text suggests circa 1910 and published by a member of the Lancashire and Cheshire Antiquarian Society.

Red cloth boards are slightly edgeworn, sunned and bubbled, small splits to spine ends and small mark to back. Staples rusted and last page pulled away but binding secure. Page edges and first 16 pages browned/foxed, owner name and slight edgewear to ffep, neat pencil correction to first page, but otherwise clean and well preserved. 208 pp including title page at rear and "400 columns of close print"; b&w map frontis plus "23 Groups of Pictures".
