This is a collection of 10 sheets of stamps and a little Pamphlet book about the stamps showing Wedgwood Pottery and its story. The stamps that are meant to be included in the little book about the Story of Wedgwood had previously been removed by another customer. The little booklet tells the story of Wedgwood pottery from 1730 to 1980. Enclosed are some pictures of Wedgwood bone china. There are some facts about Wedgwood, the uniqueness of Wedgwood craftmanship, and how Wedgwood china has become mass produced. Apart from the stamps having been removed the little informative booklet is in good condition with being a little creased. The oldest stamps in this collection were issued in 1970. They are the complete set of stamps of General Anniversaries and are the Post Office First Day Cover. This sheet of stamps celebrates the Declaration of Arbroath, Florence Nightingale, the International Co-operative Alliance, the Mayflower and the Royal Astronomical Society. Another sheet of stamps of General Anniversaries the were the Post office First Day Caver First Day of Issue in 1972 celebrates the Tutankhamun discovery, the HM Coastguard, and the life of Vaughn Williams the muscician. In this collection there is a sheet of stamps celebrating Scottish Heraldry that was the Royal Mail First Day cover and First Day of Issue celebrating the Order of the Thistle. Each of the stamps has the Coat of Arms one of Lord Lyon the King of Aran, another stamp the Arms of the His Royal Highness the Duke of Rothesay. The third stamp is of the Arms of the Royal Scottish Academy of Painting Sculpture and Architecture, and the fourth stamp of the Arms of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. One of the sheets of stamps celebrates Rowland Hill and is the Post Office First Day Cover and First Day of Issue. This sheet was issued in 1979. One set of stamps is a collection of 6 stamps from the Isle of man celebrating the Millennium of Tynwald showing the Isle of man coat of Arms, other stamps on the sheet show events in the History of the Isle of Man like the Viking raid of Garwick and the 10th Century meeting of Tynwald. One of the stamps show Tynwald Hill and St Johns Church.The sheet of stamps from the Bailiwick of Guernsey shows one stamp celebrating methodism that was established in the Channel Islands in 1784. One of the sheets of stamps in this collection celebrates the Arthurian Legen and is a Royal mail First Day Cover and First Day of Issue. The stamps show Sir Galahad, the Lady of the Lake, King Arthur and Merlin and Guinevere and Lancelot. One sheet of stamps if the First Day of Issue and the Royal Mail First Day cover of Medieval Life celebrating the Domesday Book of 1086. One sheet of stamps celebrates the Royal Mail and the 350 years of service to the public. The sheet is a Royal mail First Day Cover and First Day of Issue. the stamps on this sheet show streets, roads and cities. One sheet of stamps shows the Folklore of Great Britain. it is a First Day Cover and First Day of issue. The stamps show Morris dancing, the Medieval Mummers, Saint Valentines Day and Lammastide. All of the sheets of stamps are carefully protected in cellophane covers. All of the sheets of stamps are in very good condition.
