Vintage 1960's Waddington's Go Board Game - International Travel Game. 1961. The object of the game is to visit as many of the Principal cities in the world in as short a time as possible, starting from London; to purchase a souvenir of each place visited and to return home to London when an agreed amount of souvenirs have been purchased.
Travel may be made by Air, Sea, Rail or road. Tickets are purchased at any of the appropriate ticket offices, or at Thos, Cook and son, and money may be changed at a Bureau de change. the Bank or at Thos, Cook and son.
Travellers run all the risks of International travel; they may also have some luck en route, but must be prepared for complications with customs and local regulations. Like all international travellers, they must acquaint themselves with currency rates of exchange".
It is almost complete - there is one yellow playing piece missing, there should be 2 of each colour but unfortunately there is only one yellow counter.
It is generally in a very good condition. The cards, money and board are very good. The only small issues are the International fares chart has some age / play wear- it has tape attached and has creases - it has also been written on inside (please see the photos). The travellers vouchers are curled and Most of the travel tickets have been filled in. There are some blank ones that could be photocopied.
A really fun vintage game. It comes in quite a large box - the box has tears at the corners
