The Londoner K16, toy bus, Matchbox Superking Matchbox by Lesney

£8.00 Out Of Stock

Product description

This is a sweet toy from Matchbox, dated on the bottom 1972. It is a classic London red bus and even his doors that open, passengers and a working bell. This toy has definitely been played with and its paper advertising banners show some signs of wear. There are some areas where paint has worn off but on the whole it is in fair condition.

Matchbox toys were originally created by Jack Odell, a partner in the toy firm Lesney. His daughter was only permitted to take toys to school that would fit in a matchbox. After creating a miniature car for her he soon found her friends wanted one too, and Matchbox toys were born.

Perhaps you collected these pieces of history, remember playing with one in your childhood, or know a child who would give this bus a good home.
