Vintage Jacqmar Long Dagger Shape Scarf

A gorgeous vintage long dagger shaped scarf from the Jacqmar brand. Printed in pale sage green and cream the fabric of the scarf is silky with a mid sheen finish and a machine rolled edge. The dagger shape scarf was first popular in the 1930’s a tumultuous decade but unrivalled for elegance and style.

Jacqmar was founded by Jack Lyons and his wife in 1932 they started making scarves in the late 1930’s to use up off cuts of silk used for garments. This scarf probably dates from the 1970’s and is in a robust crease resistant probably man made fabric.

No care or composition label.
In excellent vintage condition no marks or pulls a small length of hem has been mended and at the points.

A lovely well behaved scarf the combination of its shape and soft draping fabric make it an effortlessly elegant accessory.
