Oxfam account: frequently asked questions

  • What are the benefits of setting up an Oxfam account and how do I register ?

    With an Oxfam account you can keep track of your Online shop purchases, create and manage gift and wedding lists and take part in fundraising events and communities.

    You don't have to register for an Oxfam account to purchase from the Online shop- but it could save you time as you won't have to type in all your address details each time you shop with us (the address book has room for up to 20 addresses). Another benefit is if you're logged in your basket will automatically be saved if you don't complete your order, so you can retrieve it the next time you log in.  (But of course some of the items may have sold if you wait too long, especially Second Hand Store items, which are unique).

  • How do I manage my Oxfam account ?

    Once you've logged in, click on the My account link at the top of the website. Then you can manage your personal details and address book, change your password, view your shop order history, track current orders, set up a gift list and create or join a fundraising group. And because you set a secure password, the only person who has access to this information is you.

  • How do I change my e-mail address for my Oxfam account ?

    It is currently not possible to change your account email address, but we hope to offer this soon.

    In the meantime you can either use your old account, create a new account, or if you are trying to make an Online Shop purchase, you can continue through the process without logging in. If you do use your old account, we recommend printing (or screen printing and saving) the order confirmation page after you have purchased from the online shop (because you won't receive a confirmation email).

    Note: If you create your new account with exactly the same name and address as your existing account, information about your Events will be carried through to your new account.

  • What do I do if I have forgotten my password and my email address has changed ?

    As we are not able to change the email address associated with your account, you will not be able to request to reset a password, and therefore you will need to create a new account with your new email address.

  • What do I do if I have not received an email to reset my password ?

    Please check your junk folder.  If it's not there, then try requesting the email again. Simply click the "Login" link at the top of the website and click the "Forgotten password" link. Then make sure you are correctly entering the email address you used to register your Oxfam account. 

    If you still do not receive an email it's likely that you do not have a registered account with the email address you have entered- so please try registering a new account. If you receive an error message that this account already exists, then please contact us on 0300 200 1300 and we will look into this.  In the meantime, if you are trying to make an Online Shop purchase, please continue through the process without logging in.
