Oxfam Representative Scheme

Who are we?

A network of volunteer speakers who can deliver inspiring talks and interactive workshops about the life changing work that Oxfam does to fight the injustices of poverty.

We have more than 100 trained volunteer speakers all over England and Wales, who share their passion for Oxfam by delivering talks and workshops to groups of all ages. Meet the Oxfam Representatives.

Who can book a speaker?

Anyone - whether you are at a school, university, youth group, adult community group or business we'd love to visit to tell you more about our work and how you could get involved.

Anywhere in England and Wales (subject to availability)

What does it cost?

If you are fundraising for Oxfam, we will provide a speaker free of charge. Otherwise, we ask for a £30 contribution towards travel expenses and administration.

What will the speaker deliver?

You can choose to book a presentation only, workshops only, or a combination of both. Please give us as much information as you can about what you are looking for on your booking form, we will do our best to help. Please note however, we are unable to offer full 'drop down' days for schools. Book your Oxfam Representative visit by completing the below form and we will be in touch with you very soon!

The pupils were very engaged and it was extremely beneficial for them to see how the issues we discuss in class affect real peoples' lives. The fundraiser was an excellent way to embed their response and was much more effective than us paying £30! A simple cake sale was enough to raise a bit of money and also get them to talk to others in the school about why they were raising money. They would be glad to do it again. Woodeaton Manor School - April 2017

We are very grateful to the Oxfam speakers - they were very inspiring and our students enjoyed the event. Some of our students did state that they will over their summer break volunteer for fundraising or work in one of the Oxfam shops. London School of Business and Management - March 2016
