This virtual
journey was transferred to the Cool Planet website from On the
Line. Much of the information here relates to the time when
the millennium dawned.
One of the
smallest countries in West Africa, never more than 120km wide
at any point, Togo is a long narrow country stretching up from
the lively maritime region on the Gulf of Guinea to the hot,
dry savannahs of the remote North-west.
Click on the buttons on the left to find out about the subject of your choice, or
go to the guide
book, where you can find
background information and facts and figures on Togo. To test your knowledge you can
try out the Togolese
quiz.

You can also take virtual journeys
through the other meridian-line countries of Ghana, Mali, Burkina Faso, Algeria, Spain, France and the United Kingdom.
On the Line would like to thank Mike
Rimmer, who kindly provided some of the material and all of the photographs for this
virtual journey.
