School climate justice banners hanging at the Glastonbury festival

Glastonbury art project for schools

How can your school take part at Glastonbury?

The legendary Glastonbury Festival, headlined this year by SZA, Coldplay and Dua Lipa, returns to Worthy Farm between 26th - 30th June 2024.

This means the Oxfam schools' banner project is back!

We invite schools with budding artists to design, embellish and paint hessian banners for display in 'Oxfield' at the Glastonbury festival. The banners measure 3.5m x 2m.

The theme for the banners this year is climate justice.

Some banners from previous years are shown in the photo above.

Everyone in school can be involved!

Here's how to take part in this exciting project.

Tell us your school is interested by replying as soon as possible to John McLaverty: jmclaverty@oxfam.org.uk

We have a limited number of banners available this year and we expect high interest from schools. Banners will be allocated to schools on a first come first served basis.

Participation will be confirmed by 15 April when banners will be posted to schools.

Oxfam will provide a climate justice learning pack and a project briefing.

Schools are responsible for providing paint and arts materials and returning completed banners to Oxfam by Friday 21 June.
