In response to reports that the chancellor has chosen not to use the UK’s share of a new $650bn IMF global fighting fund to increase the share of national output spent on aid, Sam Nadel, Oxfam GB’s Head of Government Relations said:

“After cutting aid spending at a time when it is needed most, the UK Government continues to raid the pockets of the world’s poorest people while further undermining the UK’s credibility on the international stage. It is yet another example of little Britain not global Britain and we urge the chancellor to reconsider.”
