Reaction: Oxfam response to the UN Security Council's rejection of a ceasefire in Gaza

“We are appalled that the UN Security Council has once again failed to pass a resolution demanding a permanent ceasefire and unconditional release of all hostages. This is a staggering dereliction of duty from a body formed to uphold the Charter of the UN, maintain peace and protect lives, and yet another missed opportunity to give desperately needed relief from the constant bombardment for Palestinians living there.”
