No more radio silence

Launching our Radio Silence campaign at UK festivals this summer reminded us of one thing: coming together in one place and time is what unity, freedom and self-expression feels like.

Yet right now millions of people are being silenced. Their voices aren’t being listened to and they’re not being heard:

• In Gaza, war crimes are going unchecked and tens of thousands of Palestinian people have been killed
• In Sudan, a brutal power struggle has led to civil war displacing millions of people
• Across Ethiopia, Kenya and much of East Africa, the worst hunger crisis in living memory is forcing millions towards famine.

Our world system is broken. When it comes to these crises, world leaders, the media and global institutions are choosing radio silence.

That’s their choice. It’s just not ours.

If we’re serious about a future that puts people and planet first, we’ve all got to play our part.

Gaza. Sudan. East Africa. Yemen. The DRC. The West Bank. South Sudan. Stop the silencing that’s costing millions of people their lives. No more radio silence.
