Oxfam names Jean McLean Chief Influencing Officer

Oxfam has appointed Jean McLean as its new Chief Influencing Officer, bringing in a seasoned global advocate to lead the organisation’s strategy for tackling the root causes of poverty and driving a shift toward locally led development, stronger national civil society, and global solidarity to address injustice worldwide.

McLean joins Oxfam from the Green Economy Coalition, where as Director of Engagement she led global partnerships and mobilised international audiences around economic and environmental justice. Her career includes senior influencing roles at Save the Children, Global Citizen and ActionAid, where she has championed people-powered change on a global scale.
