Red Line for Gaza

Day after day we have watched the horrors in Gaza unfold on our screens as red line after red line is crossed by the Israeli government. Let’s demand our government takes action to stop this – while we still have a chance.

Now is the moment to act

We – the people of the UK – must speak out. In our masses, right now. Let’s build our own red line that is impossible for our government to ignore.

We stand together

We are joining together with other organisations in the UK, to powerfully demonstrate that we stand united against the atrocities being inflicted on people in Gaza.

Join the campaign to be the first to hear about how to get involved in upcoming days of action for Gaza.

Find out more about the campaign

Red Line for Gaza is a campaign inspired by symbolic ‘red line’ protests around the world.

Coordinated by Oxfam GB, War Child UK and others, it's a movement designed to be spread by organisations and individuals, using our collective voices to call for an end to UK complicity in this crisis.

ActionAid UK, All We Can, CAFOD, Choose Love, Christian Aid, Doctors of the World (Médecins du Monde UK), Islamic Relief UK, Greenpeace, Humanity and Inclusion, Mothers’ Manifesto, Na'amod, Oxfam, Quakers in Britain, War Child UK, Women for Women International, and more.

Starving people is a red line

The Israeli government is starving civilians in Gaza. They’re using starvation as a weapon of war by blocking the delivery of food and aid, including for women and children. Everyone in Gaza is at risk of famine.

Killing civilians is a red line

The Israeli military has been killing men, women and children seeking safety. They have attacked schools, hospitals, and refugee camps leaving people to perish in burning buildings.

Targeting children is a red line

No child is responsible for the violence we’re seeing right now. Yet children have been killed by Israeli shootings and indiscriminate bombing in Gaza. We have all seen the horrific injuries young children have sustained.

Killing aid workers is a red line

Humanitarian workers have been blocked from delivering life-saving aid to people in Gaza. They have also been killed in deadly attacks on marked humanitarian vehicles. It’s not only a violation of international humanitarian law, it's a violation on people simply trying to help.

Killing the hungry is a red line

People desperately trying to collect bags of flour have been shot by Israeli forces and shelled by Israeli tanks and drones. People have been penned in, in dangerous and degrading conditions, just to try to get something to eat.

And many more red lines continue to be crossed by the Israeli government and military.

The UK government is complicit in Israel’s crimes by its continued military, economic and diplomatic support. Critical language, without meaningful action, is not enough.

The UK government continues to allow the sale of some arms to Israel, including parts for deadly fighter jets that are used to drop bombs on Palestinian civilians. The UK also produces components for Israeli drones, provides intelligence from spy flights over Gaza, and trains Israeli military personnel in Britain.

The UK government must take action now and end their complicity in Israel's crimes.

They must use all tools at their disposal to push for a permanent ceasefire, unrestricted humanitarian access, and a path to justice, accountability and peace.

This means joining together and recognising our common humanity. We all deserve to have access to our basic human rights.

Our collective wellbeing and humanity lies in our ability to support each other, speak out against the injustices we see, and work towards a fairer world for us all.

Our hope is for all Palestinians and Israelis to live in freedom, with full and equal civil and political rights.

By joining the Red Line for Gaza, we will be in touch with ways you can support the campaign and take action in your community.

We will also be able to demonstrate how many people care about this issue and put more pressure on decision makers.

The louder we raise our collective voice, the harder we are to ignore.
