Our campaigning and fundraising events depend on dedicated volunteers to help us raise as much money as possible and make change happen.

Steward or campaign at a festival

Oxfam has been taking volunteers to festivals for 20 years; festival organisers donate to Oxfam for providing people to fulfil important roles. It's a fantastic way to give your time and enjoy some of the best UK festivals.

Whether you steward or help us raise awareness about our campaigns, you will be joining a family of thousands, united by a love of music and a desire to help others break free from poverty.

We'd be delighted to arrange for corporate teams to attend the same festivals together. We also look to fill some specialist roles including drivers, logistics coordinators and radio operators. Full training will be provided and there is even the opportunity to develop progress within the team as a supervisor, shift leader or festival coordinator.

Location: Festivals up and down the UK
Date: May - September. Applications open in March
Time commitment: 3 shifts of 8 hours over 1-6 days, including the weekend
Number of participants: We recruit 5,000 volunteers each year for a total of 17 different music festivals.

Be support crew for our physical challenges

You could enter a company team to participate in one of our physical challenges, such as Trailwalker, our 100km non-stop endurance trek. But if you don't fancy that we're always grateful for volunteers manning checkpoints at either Trailwalker or at the London Marathon.

As a volunteer, you can line the routes at our check points or cheer-points to support participants. You can provide invaluable motivation, encouragement and fun along the courses to keep everyone going.

Perhaps your organisation could take over an entire checkpoint?

Location: South Downs and London Marathon
Date: April and July 2018

Put on a gig for Oxjam, our month of music

Oxjam began in 2006, with the aim of creating a network of music-loving people, all united by a shared goal - to raise money to fight poverty around the world. More than a decade later we're still going strong, with hundreds of incredible gigs taking place each year in October.

Could you put on a gig for Oxfam? You and your organisation can get involved by organising a music event in your office or for your workmates. We'll give you all the advice you need to make your gig a success.

Location: Anywhere
Date: October
Time commitment: 1-2 days
Number of participants: 5-10 to run the event. Any number to attend
