“

I am honoured to be joining Oxfam as its Chair at such a pivotal moment. As escalating conflict, deepening inequality and the climate crisis drive unprecedented levels of humanitarian need, it is a privilege to be part of an organisation which stands alongside the very communities confronting these challenges. This determination to overcome injustice through collective partnership action makes me believe in the possibility of a radically better world. I’ve served in the charity sector alongside my commercial career for over 50 years, and think Oxfam is truly unique; few organisations inspire such affection and national pride. I look forward to working with Oxfam's passionate colleagues, dedicated volunteers, local partners on the ground and my fellow Trustees to strengthen our impact, and to create lasting change.”

“

Stevie's appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Oxfam. She is an outstanding leader whose experience, judgement and passion for social justice make her uniquely placed to chair Oxfam's Board. Throughout her career, she has combined strategic vision with a deep belief in the power of organisations to drive positive change. At a time when the fight against poverty demands daring and ambition, we are thrilled to welcome her to Oxfam. I’d like to express my deep appreciation to Nana and Annie for the stewardship and stability they have provided during a period of transition. As interim co-Chairs, their unwavering focus on Oxfam’s mission has set us up to meet this next chapter with courage and confidence.”
