On Tuesday 26th August 2026 a major flash flood struck Nepal's Rasuwa District severely affecting Syapru Besi and Timure near the Tibet border.

Significant damage has been reported to villages, roads, bridges, market areas and critical infrastructure.

While access remains difficult, we are in contact with our partners on the ground to assess humanitarian needs.

The Emergency Response Fund helps us respond immediately when a disaster strikes anywhere in the world.

We work in partnership with many local organisations so we are able to adapt our response quickly when a disasters strikes.
