My connection to Oxfam
I was brought up to always appreciate what I had. My mother was a real justice warrior and fearless in her principles. Her work was part and parcel of inspiring me to do the work I do today campaigning for emergency action on climate change. The contribution she made to Oxfam and the continuing work I’m doing now feel very much connected.
Once my mum passed, her legacy to Oxfam had a huge effect on the grieving process and continuing her memory in a really meaningful way. It became clear to me that a gift in my Will to Oxfam will become incredibly impactful. I couldn’t think of a better choice to be honest.
Why Oxfam?
I know for sure that my mother’s money has been spent in the most moral way possible. It was the right thing to do for my mum and for our family, so I knew I wanted to follow in her footsteps with my own legacy. I have absolute confidence in Oxfam, and I know my money will go so much further.
