Support women around the world and receive a free bar of Divine chocolate

Around the world, women are pushing back against the unfair burden of care and domestic work, low pay, and being locked-out of opportunity. But with support and training, they’re changing the rules – smashing barriers, growing incomes, and building stronger futures. And this spring, you can back them all the way.

Your ongoing donation could help more women to grow their businesses – tackling poverty and hunger and fighting for fairer opportunities.

Start a monthly donation today in solidarity with women building a fairer future and to say thank you, we’ll send you a bar of Divine Dark Chocolate with Pink Himalayan Salt – a symbol of fairness, grown by farmers paid properly for their work.

Solidarity in action

In northern Ghana, women who were once held back by decades of unfair access to training, tools and technology, are now powering up their shea and cocoa businesses, building more stable incomes for themselves and their families.

Climate change has made the ‘lean season’ harsher than ever. When rains stop, crops fail, food runs low, and anxiety rises.

But through Women’s Economic Advancement for Collective Transformation (WEACT), an initiative funded by Oxfam, women are gaining what they need to adapt to every season - and close the inequality gap between men and women.

WEACT has really changed my life. The project supported us with shea butter processing equipment which has reduced our shea butter processing time, and a tricycle to carry the shea nuts home.”

Safura Abdulai, Bunglung, northern Ghana

Safura began producing shea butter as part of a cooperative, joining other women to roast, grind, and churn shea nuts into rich golden butter. When the process was complete, they would package it for sale to the UK.

Safura was proud of her work, but orders were slow – and the wait between each delivery was hard to survive. That all changed with the arrival of WEACT.

Small changes, big difference

After joining the project, Safura soon learned how to package up her products into individual pots, and sell them locally.

Demand grew, and she gained the confidence to expand her offering beyond shea butter, reviving her soap-making skills, expanding her range, and eventually tripling her income.

I always thought I needed a lot of money to start a business... I realised I could begin with what I already had.”

With a stable, secure income, Safura’s vision continues to grow. She’s determined to support other women to build their own independence too.

Your regular donation could help fuel projects like WEACT, helping Safura and other women to champion more equal and fulfilled lives.
