Volunteering partner impact: Selfridges

In August 2024, our partners Selfridges took part in a 3-day volunteering event in Oxfam Notting Hill Gate. They split activities between 2 teams, creating an engaging competition for their corporate away days.

Across those days the team raised an incredible £3,946. This could give 602 people access to safe drinking water from a community water point.

Why companies choose Oxfam

Working with Oxfam will strengthen your brand reputation and highlight your commitment to making a positive impact.

Research shows companies who offer volunteering days report less sick leave and have better staff retention and engagement. Employees feel valued by and connected to their organisation through giving back, leading to happier, more motivated teams.

It was a pleasure to help, and see what goes on behind the scenes when donations are given to Oxfam.”

How to get involved with corporate volunteering

Please complete this short form or email corporatevolunteer@oxfam.org.uk and we will be in touch within seven days to talk through your options and match you to an appropriate shop.

We make it easy for your team to register for a shift by creating a bespoke webpage for your company and chat to you before the day, so your team will be ready to hit the ground running.

It was a really rewarding experience and a great reminder of how important these efforts are in supporting communities around the world. It also gave us a chance to step away from the usual work routine, spend time together as a team, and get to know each other better outside of the office.”
