We’re not done yet. Are you?
You’ve been fighting for a better world all your life. Why stop now? Leave a gift in your Will to Oxfam and stay in the fight.
“I believe that achieving a fairer world needs us to act as a collective. Each of us have a responsibility. We all must work together to preserve [the planet] for ourselves right now and for our future generations.”
Joyce, climate activist, Kenya
There are many ways to rally against injustice
Hold up a banner. Sign petitions. Share ideas. Volunteer. Make a regular donation. Or pledge a gift in our Wills. However we unite, together we can make the world a fairer place.
If you believe that a better world is possible, then stay in the fight.
Leaving a gift in your Will to Oxfam is a way to make sure your legacy lives on. Your contribution will strengthen the work we’re doing globally to change the systems that fuel poverty. It will build much-needed support for future generations of change-makers like you. And it will mean you’ll be staying in the fight – for good.
Joyce's story
Like you, communities around the world are uniting to take down the systems that fuel inequality and poverty. Climate activist Joyce belongs to one of them. She’s raising her voice in Kenya to expose how climate change is affecting everything – from farming, to livelihoods, to girls’ education.
“What motivates me is the desire to see equity and fairness,” says Joyce, explaining that the people who have contributed the least to global warming and climate change are the most affected by it. “Having their voices in decisions affecting them is part of achieving climate justice. It means everyone is heard and their opinions matter.”

Joyce, who is also a teacher, is dedicated to conserving mangroves, which play a crucial role in flood prevention. She wants a future that is “free from fossil fuels… a future that is environmentally sustainable for all.”
Witnessing how climate change, poverty and inequality affect people worldwide, Joyce admits she feels “sadness, despair, anger”, but she isn’t giving up.
As Joyce says, it will take us all to build the better, fairer future we want.
When you leave a gift to Oxfam in your Will, you’re pledging to stay in the fight with Joyce – and with us all.
Face injustice head on with Oxfam
We’ve been challenging injustice since 1942. Following WWII, we persuaded the UK government to send food parcels to Germany. In 1984, brilliant Oxfam supporters like you raised £12.5 million to combat famine in Ethiopia. More recently, we’ve joined some of the most marginalised people in the world to demand climate justice. We continue to make steady progress on every front.
Today we’re still in the fight, rallying with people across the globe to wipe out poverty for good. It’s a goal that can only be achieved by tackling the greatest crisis of our time – climate change. The climate crisis is having the biggest impact on the people who are least responsible for it, yet they’re paying the highest price.
It’s an injustice that needs to be faced head on. Together with communities, we’re demanding system change, not climate change. We’re backing their calls for polluters to pay. This means taxing the biggest fossil fuel polluters who take huge profits while causing severe loss and damage to some of the most marginalised people.
Millions of us worldwide are speaking out about this injustice. We’re calling for climate justice, led by those facing the worst of the climate crisis right now.
And we can’t do it without you.
Leave a gift to Oxfam.
Stay in the fight.
